    TLDR; STAY AWAY from Alan Anzarouth if you don’t want to get ripped off. He is not only an unprofessional businessperson but also a scammer that will make it seem like he cares about your case but really only cares about your money. Be careful with any 5 star reviews, they're likely written by his friends and family.

    I was referred to this lawyer by a friend and thought he would genuinely care about our case. We were wrong!

    Initially, we paid $250 for a 30-minute consultation and after the consultation, we made an agreement to move forward with our case. He scheduled us an appointment to come back in 2 weeks and asked us to bring $2,500 for an initial payment.

    We live in Los Angeles so we took a day off work to drive all the way down to SD.

    We came to our first appointment at 11:00 AM. He said we needed to wait 30 minutes more as he was running behind schedule. That 30 minutes became 6 hours. 6 HOURS! We had to come back around 6:00 PM to see him because he said he couldn’t sleep last night and he had to work on another case.

    We were getting angry but didn’t say anything to him. Finally, we sat down in his office for a total of 30 minutes. During this time, he answered every single phone call he got and he was trying to check-in to his flight the next day. If this wasn’t a referral from a close friend, we wouldn’t have stayed there for another minute. Around 6:30, he said he had to leave and asked us if we brought his money. You can image I was very hesitant to pay him, but again, he was a referral from a close friend. He scheduled another appointment for 2 weeks later.

    Here's where things got strange - In order for him to get started on our case, he had to get information from us, which he had not bothered to do. At this point, we had already wasted over 4 weeks waiting for him. Finally, we decided we weren't going to work with him anymore. During our next appointment, I notified him we would not be continuing with the case, and would like a refund. And with that, he showed his real face!

    He spent max. 1 hour with our case, and only returned $600 from $2500. I'm not sure if this is legal to charge $1900 an hour when your 1-hour consultation fee is $250. While he was giving us the check, he also threatened that he wouldn’t even give that $600. I was too shocked to even reply back. This is a classic case of a lawyer using his position to bully and intimidate an ordinary citizen. I guess we'll see what the Justice Department has to say about this when we file our complaint.

    If you need help with immigration and don’t want to get ripped off, stay away from this business and Alan Anzarouth. You've been warned!!
