  Such a plethora of knowledge about all things mineral, silver fabrication and chasing & repoussé. Multiple blue ribbon winners for first place, from the San Diego County Fair, in jewelry design are here. They are cutting stones or fabricating a piece of art out of silver or copper. The people here are kind and genuinely interested in seeing you succeed as a lapidary or silversmith. Classes are $5 as of now and the only other thing to buy is a membership. There is a museum separate from the workshops which is right by the gift shop. The gift shop has one of a kind pieces from numerous on-site artists. Support local and support handmade. I once heard statements that resonate with me to this date "Life is to short to wear machined jewelry. Shop Handmade. Shop Local."
  Stop in and see what it is all about they will show you around the place too! If you like rocks, jewelry or want to learn a new hobby - this is your place!
