    I've always had an amazing experience with them and being high risk I feel at times I am a bit more demanding and/or needy, but never made to feel that way. Dr. Washkowiak is amazing, patient, and thorough I wish I would've found her earlier.

    The incompetence of the medical assistants is unbelievable at Scripps OB-GYN! Tried to get a prescription authorization on a medication that I have taken for 7 years. I had problems with a different one, generic, that the nurse assistant gave me samples of. I complained of bleeding on the generic so I requested authorization of the Brand name drug. Nancy, the medical assistant, who read through my chart said she didn't see any documentation of this problem. Nancy is after all, NOT a doctor OR even a nurse. Mind you, in my chart, I did have diagnostic tests done for the bleeding and nothing was wrong, however, after using the generic, again, I started bleeding. Prior to the run around with Nancy. My insurance called Scripps OB-GYN to get them to put through the authorization request and documented that they spoke to an Eva (another medical assistant). When I followed up with Scripps OB-GYN, Nancy told me that Eva had no recollection of the call, therefore, didn't put through the request. Really?!! Then how would the insurance company have her name as the one they spoke to?? I realize that medical assistants only make between $10-12 an hour but really people!! Do your job, take pride in your work! They always say the attitude of an office trickles down from management. I wonder if Scripps even cares how this office is being run?
